Cheney Attendance at Senate

(From the diaries, Cheney presided over the Senate a grand total of two times the past four years -- just as many times as Edwards, who also did so twice. Slightly edited -- kos)
"Now, in my capacity as vice president, I am the president of Senate, the presiding officer. I'm up in the Senate most Tuesdays when they're in session."
--Dick Cheney
Source is the Congressional Record: http://www.gpoaccess.gov/crecord/index.html
This statement by Cheney is a boldface lie. Could he believe he's at the Senate every Tuesday even though the Congressional Record says otherwise? I don't think so. Its a lie. Meanwhile he criticises Edwards for missing 38% of the roll call votes. Edwards filled in for Cheney twice as Acting President of the Senate. While I might give him the benefit of the doubt about his on camera meeting of Edwards at a prayer breakfast, he still asserted something that he knew would be suspect, just for effect. Appearances are what means something in this Administration. Not truth.
